Just a little information about dougslistzlo
Q: Who and what is dougslistzlo?
A: I'm Doug Reed. My wife, Darcy, and I live in Manzanillo. Thus dougslistzlo. We are among many from North of the Border who have decided that Manzanillo is a great place to spend some happy retirement years. Many of our fellow residents have sought and found ways to make contributions to our community by supporting local orphanages, senior citizen homes, animal refuge efforts, concerts and cultural events. I've decided to spend some time on my computer each day offering a free community Bulletin Board--a place where stuff can be offered for sale, and a place to post information about local events. I work on dougslistzlo to keep me busy when I'm not out whacking at a golf ball or joining friends for dinner or bridge.
Q: What about the site?
A: I am not a computer whiz, so the website is not very sophisticated. It is not my intention to change that as the tools I use to maintain it are inexpensive and simple. There are some really cool websites offered in Manzanillo to promote our community and promote those who offer services to our community. I strongly recommend that if you're interested in more information about Manzanillo you visit any or all of the great websites found at my Manzanillo Websites tab.
Q: Why free?
A: Why not? It's just a hobby and just a Bulletin Board, a service. Anything that can be posted for free on a Bulletin Board at WalMart or Soriana can be posted for free on dougslistzlo. The ads and announcements I post are typically just lines of text with a couple of pictures. It is not my intent to compete with those who earn part or all of their livelihood by selling more sophisticated ads to individuals and commercial establishments. They can be reached via google. dougslistzlo cannot. I make no money doing this and have no plans to extend the site beyond what it is.
